The KiwiCo story

We believe that creative confidence helps kids think Big and act like creators and producers instead of just consumers. Kids with creative confidence don’t assume one "right way" to build with blocks, paint a picture, or solve a problem. Their unique way is the right way!

I had a deep appreciation for the creative, hands-on projects that encourage this kind of thinking, but as a parent...

How a crate comes
to life

  1. Step 1
  2. Step 2
  3. Step 3
  4. Step 4
  5. Then...

We brainstorm and conceptualize.

Our designers brainstorm hundreds of ideas to create the most exciting projects that are also age-appropriate and educational.

Then, finally...

Delivered to you!

We’re KiwiCo —
The Innovation Factory

Designed by Experts

We’re a team of educators, makers, engineers, and rocket scientists (yes, for real). And we’re passionate about what we do.

Hear from two of our design leads:
Kim, a mechanical engineer, and
Andy, an industrial designer.

How do the projects come to life?

We’re constantly brainstorming ideas for the coolest things kids can build and learn about.

What happens next?

We break out the cool tools to make prototypes, which are early stage models of our ideas.

How long does it take you to design a crate?

We spend over 1000 hours designing and testing each crate. We really care about delivering an awesome experience.

Tested By Kids

Rebekah, a product designer from KiwiCo

What’s your favorite part of the job?

The kids!

Before our projects are sent out into the world, they have to pass through our toughest critics.

Every project goes through multiple rounds of gathering frank feedback from lots of kids. No crate leaves The Innovation Factory without a wide-eyed, “WHOA, AWESOME!”

We have multiple kid-testing sessions a week. Check out what it’s like!arrow icon graphic
